PTSD - Psychotherapy
Medication
(psychiatrist and/or family doctor)

Medications are usually prescribed by psychiatrists,
although some can be prescribed by a family doctor.

Sometimes a psychiatrist works directly with the patient,
and sometimes in consultation with the family doctor.
Consultation means, for example, that the patient would
see the psychiatrist once a year. The psychiatrist would
recommend medications to the family doctor. Then the
patient would see the family doctor once a month.

Therapy/Counseling
(psychologist and/or therapist)

Effective treatments include
CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy)
Anxiety Management
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
Individual Counseling
Group Therapy

This is not an exhaustive list!
